Newsletter signups
If you join the launch list, the site stores your email address, the signup time, and a record of your consent. These records are used to maintain the list for The Model Memo. Email delivery has not started; joining the list does not send a confirmation email.
Removing a signup
After a new signup, a “Manage your signup” link appears. Save that private link: it lets you remove the signup from the site’s subscriber list. Treat it like a password and do not share it. The site does not expose subscriber records to visitors.
Technical processing
The hosting service processes technical request information to serve and protect the site. The signup endpoint may keep a short-lived hashed network identifier and request count to limit automated submissions. The application does not store the raw network address in the subscriber record.
Reading the journal
This version does not include advertising trackers or an analytics integration. Access or sign-in cookies used by the hosting platform are governed by that platform’s own policies. External links take you to services with their own privacy practices.
Future email editions
Before email delivery begins, this notice will be updated to identify the email provider and explain preference and unsubscribe options for delivered editions. The site currently collects only the information needed for the launch list; it does not sell or publish that list.
